It was founded in 1936 in Zagreb. The administration headquaters is placed in Zagreb, Krešimir Ćosić Square 11
The Croatian Hockey Federation is a member of the FIH (Fédération Internationale de Hockey) since 1992. godine and the EHF (European Hockey Federation) since 1993.
The Croatian Hockey Federation is also a member and founder of the The Croatian Olympic Committee.
